Love Bug... NO, The Stomach Bug

Isabella gave us the stomach bug for Valentine's Day! We think she may have brought it home from her Valentine's Party at school on Thursday. She got sick Friday afternoon and stayed sick through Saturday afternoon, it was so sad, I am just glad that I was well at the time she was sick and I was able to take care of her. She spent a lot of time in the bath tub, changing clothes and changing diapers. But as sick as she was it really did not slow her down much, she was still busy getting into everything the only difference was she would stop and throw up.
Isabella got to drink Sprite for the first time! She has never had a soft drink before and I know that Sprite doesn't do anything for the stomach bug, but whenever I am sick Sprite ALWAYS makes me feel better! SHE LOVED IT! She liked it so much that she wanted to take her cup in the bathtub and drink more Sprite in there!

I had to take a picture of our house after ALL OF US got the stomach bug, it was almost unrecognizable! There was stuff everywhere, it has seriously taken me a week to clean it all up! Isabella had saltine crackers spread out all over the house, so Tucker helped me clean up the food!
After being locked up in the house with the snow and Isabella being sick, by Sunday morning I had cabin fever! So Jay stayed home with Isabella so I could go to church Sunday morning, I felt great until about 3 on Sunday afternoon it hit me and I was SICK! It was the worst bug I had ever had! Jay came home on Sunday night with groceries to cook a Valentine's dinner for us and he didn't even make it to light the grill before he got sick. Isabella was so good, I am so proud of her, she hung in there while Jay and I were unable to take care of her. She seriously sat in the bathroom floor with me for hours just reading her books and playing with babies and puzzles. After I went back to work on Tuesday I got sick again on Tuesday afternoon, sick twice in one week, not fun! Thankfully we are all healed now!

SNOW!

Isabella LOVED running around outside in the snow!
She was having the best time!

It snowed last year in March when she was a newborn, so we were really excited that she could enjoy the snow this year!

Sorry the camera was wet and Isabella did NOT want to be held!

Jay chasing Isabella

Running!

She was doing the Itsy Bitsy Spider dance.

Waving to us

She was having a blast!

"Blasting Off" (those of you who watch Little Einsteins know what this is)

She did NOT want to be picked up!

PUT ME DOWN!

She is to independent to be held!

To bad her 4wheeler isn't 4WD!

It is still hard to believe that it snowed 3 inches in Auburn!!!
It was so much fun, but now I am ready for spring!!!

Isabella trying out her new car seat! I have started going back to work at the store Monday - Thursday and I am working the sales floor again. I am still able to drop Isabella off at Children's Day Out but now Jay picks her up in the afternoons so we needed another car seat, this was Jay's choice (obviously, it is Mossy Oak Camo). A BIG thank you to my mom and Tim for helping us purchase the new car seat!
Isabella and the dogs have become better friends recently!

Isabella doing her new trick! She stands on her head until we flip her over!

She loves doing this!

Doing the Itsy Bitsy Spider, she now knows all the motions!

Riley

I'm not sure if I have ever even mentioned on my blog that we have dogs, but we do. We have Duncan (5 1/2 years old, Golden Retriever) and Tucker and Riley (4 1/2 years old, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels). I love animals, always have and I LOVED these dogs more than anything, before I had a child that is and then they became just dogs. I'm not trying to be cruel and believe me when I say these doggies still have a wonderful life. They live inside, they have an enormous back yard to play in, they have toys and bones and fresh water and plenty of food to eat, oh and they lay around all day in a king sized bed.
Duncan is a good dog, he loves Isabella and she loves him. Tucker is a loner, he minds his own business and always has, he doesn't really care for Isabella but he doesn't bother her either. Riley on the other hand is an entirely different story... Riley was the baby. This dog got special attention 24 hours a day and he went everywhere with me, I thought nothing would change when Isabella was born... I was wrong.
The day we brought Isabella home from the hospital Riley started acting out, and by acting out I mean marking his territory on everything! His stuff, our stuff, Isabella's stuff, it didn't matter he was mad! Back in September I made the decision that the dogs were going to move into our bedroom (again, remember all the luxuries I mentioned before), this has worked out really well until recently. Riley has figured out how to escape from our bedroom and comes out every time we leave the house and marks his territory on everything! I am fed up with this and just needed to vent to make myself feel better. Thanks

The End...

of Deer Season that is!Deer season ended yesterday and I couldn't be more thrilled! Don't get me wrong, I love that Jay has a hobby that he loves that also gives me lots of time for myself. But this deer season just seemed to last forever, now that I am saying this I will probably want him out of here again in a week or two! So today Jay dedicated his day to Isabella, he only worked half a day, he got up with her this morning, feed her all her meals, diaper changes, clothes changes, bath time, bedtime, everything and she loved it! Glad to have her Daddy home!
