What am I going to do when she actually becomes mobile?

This morning I placed Isabella on her play mat in the center of her room and went into the kitchen to load the dishwasher. 5 minutes later when I went back in to check on her this was where she was. I love her "Deer in the headlights" expression.
She thought it was so funny that she scooted herself all the way over to her bassinet.

She was supposed to be laying on her play mat.

This was what she did when I asked her what she was doing! Silly girl! But seriously, she isn't even really mobile yet, I am scared to know what she is going to be like when she can actually move around!

So... Is "IT" a boy or girl?

This question has become like nails on a chalkboard! It's not only the question itself but the way people phrase it "So... is "IT" a boy or girl" I mean if you are going to ask atleast they could say politely "Is your baby a boy or girl?". Isabella normally wears very girlie things and usually always has in a bow or some sort or head accessory, but it never fails... I guess people just think she looks like a boy. Her baby carrier is black and white so I got a pink cover to put over it to help people out but the other day I was in Kroger and this was what Isabella was wearing. I know that there is no pink in it but seriously would a boy wear a giant bow headband? Blue bow headband or not, it is definatly for a GIRL!

Childproof?

Before you call DHR, we are in the process of getting a gun safe that will be not be located anywhere near Isabella! So, the other day I started "child proofing" our house, I began by putting electrical outlet covers over all empty outlets. When I walked into our guest bedroom to child proof this was what I saw lying on the bed. We have alot to do!

Just Playing!

Isabella's First Trip To The Zoo!

First time sitting front facing in her stroller, she seemed to like it but spent most of the day trying to squirm out of it!
Jay and Isabella in front of the Cougar exibit.

Nap time, so we had lunch.

Me and Isabella.

It was a beautiful day so we decided to take Isabella to The Montgomery Zoo. Although she is only 4 months old she really seemed to enjoy herself! She looked at all the animals and just enjoyed being outside. After the zoo Jay look Isabella on her first trip to Bass Pro Shops, she loved looking at the fish tank! It was a very good day!

New Accessories!

Sorry, I couldn't get this picture to turn.
We take Isabella's picture every Sunday after church because she has so many cute church outfits and I want to remember them all!

She is such a sweet girl!

Isabella and I went shopping on Saturday and bought her some new "no hair" accessories. What little bit of hair that she did have has now fallen out, so even the little bows won't stay in anymore! I found these cute headband bows that fit her head comfortably and she doen't mind wearing it. She looks precious in her big bows!

4 Month Well Visit

Today we took Isabella to the pediatrician for her 4 month well visit! I have seen almost every doctor at the practice trying to find one that was right for us, and finally today we found our pediatrician! Dr. Nicole Carter, she was so wonderful, I did not feel rushed at all and she was very kind. Isabella weighed in at 14lbs (50th percentile), 25 inches in length (75th percentile) and 16 for her head measurement (50th percentile). She is very tall, and maybe she will stay this way and be taller than me! Our only concern was the way Isabella's hands still shake very fast sometimes and she said that it was normal and some babies lose that reflex later than others and that it should go away by 6 months. Our sweet girl had to get 4 vaccine's today and was not happy, Jay and I had never heard her scream that way before and the nurse said she had never heard a scream that loud or high pitched before, I had a mixture of tears and laughter hearing her do this. She fell asleep in the car on the way home and is still taking a very long nap, hopefully she will feel okay when she wakes up. Jay and I are so thankful for a very healthy baby!

Wild Woman!

Isabella can scoot herself across her room! We discovered she could do this one afternoon when Jay and I were just a few feet away in the kitchen and a she was on her play mat in the floor in her room, we suddenly heard a very loud cry and when I ran in she had scooted her head right into her armoire! She was just fine but it scared her and me, but as soon as I picked her up she stopped crying so it must not have hurt that bad.

Roll Over, Roll Over

Our sweet girl Isabella is growing up so fast! I cannot believe she is 4 months old (or the fact that she is 4 months old and my wedding ring still DOES NOT fit)! This big girl can roll over all by herself now and not just one roll, she can roll across the room, I am not sure if I should be excited or scared. She is very active and is so fun to play with! Since it is warming up outside now there are so many more things to do, laying on a blanket outside, strolling around the neighborhood and blowing bubbles. She is so perfect and we are very thankful for her!

Baby Cora

I heard about this sweet baby girl Cora who recently passed away. The link to her blog and her parents blog is on my blog list, please read and pray for this precious child and her family. They are accepting donations and selling items on Esty to build a playground in her memory. I haven't been able to fight through the tears to read all of it, but what I have read is so touching an makes me cherish every moment with Isabella.

Did I have anything to do with this process?

Isabella at 3 months
Jay at 6 months.
It looks like I had nothing to do with this whole process! Isabella looks exactly like Jay! Wow!

Rice Cereal

I know, I know... No rice cereal until 4 months! Whatever, I thought she was ready and she loves it! The doctor said no rice cereal until 4 months but I thought Isabella was ready so we tried it and it was a success. She is doing all the things she is supposed to at 4 months when they are ready for cereal like sitting up, holding her head steady, showing interest in food and able to turn away when full. Isabella hasn't been very excited about her bottle lately, sometimes it is a struggle just to get her to drink 18oz a day and the books say 24-32oz, so hopefully she is getting some nutrition from this. Her 4 month appt is on March 20th so I am hoping they will give us some insight on her nutrition and that she is getting enough food. She is certainly filling out and seems very healthy I cannot wait to see how much she has grown since her last appt at 2 months.

Easter Outfit

So cute, but not easy for diaper changing.

Pretty smile!

Sweet angel!

Laughing!
This outfit was supposed to be for Isabella to wear around Easter, it is a 6 month size but she has had a huge growth spurt recently and it is not going to fit her then. She is growing so fast, even some of her 6 month clothes are too small! Everything I put on her is to short, so we are hoping that she is going to be tall!!!!

Snow Day 2009!

View from my front door first thing this morning!
Of course Tucker was eating the snow, eating is what he does best!

This is how Riley felt about the snow, as you can see he didn't really care for it.

Duncan loved playing in the snow!

Today was Isabella's first snow! We were very excited about it, Auburn got 3 inches! For those of you looking at this that do not live in Alabama I know this is not much snow, but it is a big deal for us! We had alot of fun taking pictures outside in the snow.
